John Francis Cashen
Born: 1922 in Baltimore, MD
Died: June 30, 2014 in Easton, MD

As general manager, Frank Cashen was nearly without peer during his career as a big-league executive. He was the architect of the great Baltimore Orioles teams of the late '60s and early '70s, and also put together the Mets juggernaut of the mid-to-late 1980s. As far as I know, there was only one baseball card ever produced of Frank, a special card produced by Topps in 1992. The card shown here was given to me by Frank's son, Greg Cashen.
