Philip Humber was a Mets first-round draft
pick in 2004,
and he reached the majors briefly for the Mets in 2006 and 2007.
Traded to the Twins as part of the Johan Santana deal,
he continued to shuttle back and forth between the majors and minors
until 2011, when he had what appeared to be a breakout season with the White
Sox.
The following April Phil pitched a perfect game … and then was dreadful ever
after.
This jersey was issued to Philip in 2013, but
apparently never worn.
It's one of the coolest-looking items in my collection.
