Miami Marlins
(including Florida Marlins)

Jeff Torborg was the manager of the Florida Marlins when this jersey was created for him,
but apparently he was discharged from that duty before he had an opportunity to wear it,
as he had followed up a losing season in 2002 with a 16-22 record to open 2003.

In an uncanny bit of symmetry, he had managed the Mets exactly a decade earlier,
following up a losing season in 1992 with an even worse start in 1993 leading to his dismissal.

Lest one think Jeff's managerial experience had been solely of the losing variety,
he was named the American League Manager of the Year in 1990 with the White Sox.

Prior to his managerial experience, Jeff had been a backup catcher in the big leagues
for a decade with the Dodgers and Angels.
