he pitched for Tidewater in each of the seasons from 1986-1989.

Traded to the Mets from the Red Sox in the same deal that brought in Bobby Ojeda,

John pitched for New York from 1986-1989, winning three games and losing eight.

A trade to the Orioles for the 1990 season saw him winning six and losing six;
he never again pitched in the majors after that.
