Jason Phillips is the man who took over at catcher when Mike Piazza finally relinquished his position.

He wore this catcher's gear during the 2004 season, and autographed each piece,
though the autographs on the shin guards faded to invisibility with prolonged exposure to light.

After Jason's playing career ended, he spent several years as the bullpen catcher for the Seattle Mariners.
