Departed: traded to the New York Yankees for Lee Guetterman, June 1992

 

Tim was a fine pitcher who took over briefly as the closer for the Expos after the departure of Jeff Reardon. He was also a fine man, who chose to retire and concentrate on his family, when he could easily have spent several more years collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars at the major-league level.
