While Al Leiter was on the disabled list in early 2001, Dicky was called up to fill his place in the rotation. Later he went on to pitch most of a decade in Japan, including a brilliant 15-2, 2.11 ERA season in 2009. The card pictured here is the Black Chrome Refractor from the 2002 Topps Rookie and Traded set; only 100 of these were produced. Below the stats is a card declaring him as Japan's "Pitcher of the Year" following his astonishing 2009 campaign.
