Professor Rick became the Mets' pitching coach for 2004, joining Art Howe's staff just as he had previously in Oakland. Even though Rick never pitched in the big leagues, he did pitch in the short-lived Senior Professional Baseball Association. His card from the 1990 Pacific Senior League set is shown here.
