The only two-season Mets Phantom, Jim was also a two-time 19-game winner in the big leagues, showing that his calls to the Mets were not without hope.  He never actually threw a pitch in the majors until his age-27 season, but lasted over a decade after that, winning over a hundred games and finishing up ten games over .500.  He's shown here on 1975 Topps, just after that first 19-win season.  A card following his second such campaign shows up among those below, also noting that he was chosen to the All-Star team that season.
