Dan Norman

Daniel Edmund Norman
Batted: Right
Threw: Right
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 195 lbs.
Born: January 11, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA
Drafted: 15th round 1974 by the Cincinnati Reds
Acquired: traded from the Reds with
Doug Flynn, Steve Henderson, and Pat Zachry for Tom Seaver, June 1977
Departed: traded to the Montreal Expos with
Jeff Reardon for Ellis Valentine, May 1981

Dan was a fine outfield prospect for the Reds, but came to the Mets in the regrettable Tom Seaver trade. He spent several years in the majors, but never really reached the heights hoped for him. He spent time coaching in the Mets' minor league system following his playing days. This is his 1981 Fleer card. A card from the short-lived Senior League is shown below, as well as an autographed minor-league card.
